Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a simple, safe procedure that exfoliates the skin and rids it of fine hairs.  This is different from dermabrasion, which is a medical procedure involving a whisk-like device that risks infections and scarring.  Dermaplaning does not carry these risks; the procedure is a simple process of shaving the epidermis.  This is a quick procedure with few risks that employs a scalpel and a delicate touch that uses incredibly light strokes to scrape the skin.  This is an excellent alternative to those who cannot use chemical peels or for patients with excess vellus hair.  Ask your doctor before undergoing dermaplaning.
